The 19th World Cultural Festival of theschool officially kicked off, with the much-anticipated World Cultural FestivalCarnival scheduled for April 27th.

"This year's series of World CulturalFestival activities have been extended from one day to almost two months,"said Zhang Qing, the secretary of the Beijing Language University Youth LeagueCommittee, told reporters. The series of activities will continue until Juneand include three main sections: Section One is "World · BridgingLanguages," including three events: the United Nations Chinese LanguageDay Forum, the World Youth Forum, and the Chinese Culture MultilingualCommunication Ability Competition; Section Two is "World · UltimateTaste," including the World Food Expo; Section Three is "World ·Harmony and Coexistence," including four events: the World CulturalFestival Carnival, Multicultural Sports Experience Day, Chinese Culture ExperienceDay, and World Art Map Exhibition.

Among them, the World Cultural FestivalCarnival will be held on April 27th, themed "Zero Time Difference at BLCU,Steps Without Borders." It will be divided into four main sections:Colorful Parade, Opening Ceremony, Cultural Performances, and CulturalExhibition Tents. There will be five exhibition areas: the Five ContinentsExhibition Area, the Chinese Culture Exhibition Area, the Student Service Area,the School Achievement Exhibition Area, and the Interactive Treasure Hunt Area.

On that day, hundreds of Chinese andforeign student representatives will form a parade team, wearing traditionalcostumes with ethnic characteristics, starting from the east gate of theschool, marching along Wutong Avenue to the track and field stadium, showcasingvarious national customs to the audience.

Zhang Qing said that the Chinese CultureExhibition Area, which was added last year, will still be available this year,and the exhibition area will be even larger. "Previously, it was mainlyset up on the school playground. This year, there will be various interactiveactivities in other areas of the campus."

It was learned that on the day of thecarnival, the school will set up an Interactive Treasure Hunt Area in front ofthe Yifu Building. There will not only be singing and dancing performances, butalso exciting programs such as Hanfu fashion shows, band performances, diabolo,and more. The area will also feature various interactive activities such asrandom dancing, photo shooting, passport stamp collection, campus scenerytreasure hunt, and real-life plot treasure hunt.

Meanwhile, in front of the school library,there will be a School Achievement Exhibition Area, where each college willshowcase the school's characteristics in education and introduce the school'senrollment policies. They will provide enrollment policy consultation services,provide parents with the opportunity to get close to each college, and providecampus tour interpretation services for parents and students.

In addition, in the Student Service Area,the school has gathered many employers and set up sections such as employmentinternship recruitment, corporate culture promotion display, exhibition andconsultation services for Sino-foreign cooperative education projects, and ruralrevitalization theme display, providing students with employment internships,and consultation services for further studies.
